About the Role

We are seeking an experienced End User Computing (EUC) Architect to join our growing team of consultants. As an EUC Architect, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of EUC solutions for enterprise clients across various industries. The ideal candidate should have 7-10 years of EUC architecture and implementation experience with a proven track record, strong technical skills in desktop and mobile device management, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), cloud based EUC solutions, end-user computing security, and collaboration and communication tools. They should be client-focused with strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering innovative EUC solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives and EUC requirements, and recommend end-user computing solutions

• Translate business requirements into technical requirements and develop detailed technical designs and implementation plans

• Manage EUC projects from start to finish, including scoping, planning, design, development, testing, and deployment

• Lead design, implementation and deployment of end-user computing solutions and management strategies, including desktop, laptop, and mobile device management, end-user computing security solutions, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and application virtualization solutions, and cloud-based end-user computing solutions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure end-user computing solutions integrate seamlessly with other systems and platforms

• Provide technical expertise in the areas of EUC infrastructure, security, management, and optimization

• Ensure EUC solutions are scalable, secure, and meet industry standards and best practices

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams

• Provide technical guidance and support to clients

• Develop and maintain technical roadmaps for end-user computing solutions

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide timely resolution

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders

• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in the end-user computing

Desired Qualifications

• Comprehensive technical expertise in end user computing technologies, including desktop operating systems (Windows and macOS), Office productivity applications, cloud-based workplace suites (email, calendar, meeting, messaging, collaboration, file sharing, and file syncing), VDI and application virtualization, software distribution, endpoint management, endpoint security, mobile technology management, end user computing hardware, and conference room technology

• Deep knowledge of security measures for managing and securing endpoints such as laptops, desktops, smartphones, including multi-factor authentication, encryption, and security policies for endpoints and network access

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments using technologies such as Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, VMware Horizon or Microsoft Remote Desktop Services

• Solid experience with cloud based EUC solutions, such as Amazon Workspaces or Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)

• Understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and security

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, and able to clearly explain technical concepts and tailor presentations to the target audience

• Excellent leadership and collaboration abilities, with the ability to lead teams to technology solutions that align with clients’ business goals

• Understanding of enterprise architecture processes and frameworks, including creating and maintaining roadmaps, strategies, and standards, as well as designing conceptual and logical architectures

• Ability to research and assess emerging technologies and determine their suitability for clients’ requirements and evaluate current infrastructure estate to develop strategies for modernizing and retiring legacy platforms

• Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex problems and propose practical solutions with proven track record of driving results

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as part of a team while handling diverse situations, multiple projects, and rapidly changing priorities

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise-scale end user computing, including desktop, mobile and cloud computing solutions

• Proven experience with leading large-scale deployment projects and teams

• Strong knowledge of end user computing technologies, including Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

• Experience with desktop virtualization solutions (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, VMware Horizon)

• Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript

• Knowledge of security and compliance standards for end user computing

• Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty, Citrix CCE-V/CCP-V, or VMware VCP-DTM certifications preferred

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Willingness to travel
